About
Mark's first BMW was a 1602 with Webers purchased from his college roommate in 1971. In 1972 he went to work for Phil Dermer at MotorTech in Gaithersburg, MD. Hired over the phone, Mark moved to CA to the BMW dealer just north of San Francisco, Mill Valley BMW. Later came factory school in LA and employment at the much larger dealer, Peter Pan BMW in San Mateo, CA.
Mark eventually opened his own shops, Bimmers BMW Service in Redwood City, CA and later, Marin Bavarian BMW Service in San Rafael, CA. Both shops are still open for business.
Moving to Danville, VA in 2004 to be closer to aging family members, Mark has opened Bimmer Restorations. Focusing primarily on 2002's, our goal is to provide you the BMW experience you remember.
Mark's daily driver is pictured below, a 1976 Fiord Blue 2002.
